Social Media & Community Manager - Job Summary
This role owns Blitzed’s social media presence and community engagement across key channels, with an initial focus on X and Discord. It is a hands-on position working closely with senior leadership and the content producer to create content, manage community interactions, and grow the brand voice.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Blitzed’s social media and community strategy and execution
- Manage social channels, especially X, and the Discord community
- Build and maintain a content calendar for memes, creator clips, player wins, promotions, game releases, and product updates
- Collaborate with the content producer to create assets and repurpose streamer content
- Create reactive posts, replies, and simple content independently
- Develop a consistent and recognizable brand voice across content and community conversations
- Stay engaged with trends and participate in conversations with players, creators, and industry accounts
- Welcome new community members and build relationships with regulars
- Plan recurring community activities, stream watch-alongs, events, and approved giveaways
- Keep profiles, channels, announcements, and pinned information accurate and current
- Manage Discord moderation, bots, and permissions
- Route player issues to support and share recurring feedback with the team
- Coordinate with ops, creator, and product teams on streams, launches, and updates
- Track content performance, engagement, returning participants, and traffic
- Test new ideas and develop repeatable processes based on results
Requirements
- Experience managing social media and communities in iGaming, crypto, or a closely related gaming business
- Strong understanding of crypto, casino, streaming, and internet culture
- Highly online with a strong sense for memes, humor, and shareable content
- Strong written English and ability to write entertaining content without sounding corporate or relying on generic AI copy
- Experience building relationships and encouraging participation in online communities
- Comfortable with Discord moderation, bots, permissions, and social scheduling tools
- Able to create basic graphics and edit short-form video when needed
- Good judgment when handling public conversations, frustrated players, and sensitive issues
- Commercially aware and able to look beyond follower counts and message volume
- Organized, proactive, and accountable for consistent delivery
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving early-stage company
