Social Media & Community Manager - Job Summary
Lead and grow social media presence across multiple brands, developing strategies that build community engagement and strengthen brand loyalty while collaborating with internal and external teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media strategies to drive brand awareness, engagement, community growth, and business goals.
- Manage content planning, publishing, and performance across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging channels.
- Collaborate with internal creative teams and external agencies to produce social-first branded content.
- Own the social content calendar for seasonal events, product launches, campaigns, and cultural opportunities.
- Lead social listening efforts to monitor brand sentiment, feedback, competitor activity, and emerging conversations.
- Manage community engagement by responding to comments, DMs, and conversations reflecting the brand voice.
- Stay informed on platform trends, format shifts, and cultural moments to proactively inform the team.
- Partner with Paid Media and Influencer & PR teams to align on content amplification.
- Build and manage community loyalty programs encouraging advocacy and user-generated content.
- Support community experiences including events, trade shows, activations, and experiential marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years managing brand social media and community programs in consumer brands or agencies.
- Deep knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and emerging platforms with a strong brand perspective.
- Experience building and engaging brand communities online and through events or activations.
- Ability to distinguish between engaging posts and long-term brand-building content.
- Strong writing skills adaptable for various audiences and communications.
- Comfortable with content calendars, publishing tools, community management platforms, social listening, event coordination, and performance analysis.
- Familiarity with social tools like Sprout, Later, Dash Hudson, Brandwatch, or similar.
- Aesthetic sensibility and cultural awareness of visual storytelling and lifestyle trends.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Bonus: experience in home, lifestyle, or design-adjacent categories.
