Communications & Community Manager - Job Summary

Manage communications and community engagement to enhance visibility, strengthen brand, and support tenant organizations of the Posner Center, working primarily in-person with occasional events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement internal and external communications strategies to enhance the Posner Center's brand and reputation.
  • Create and manage branding materials and maintain consistency across platforms.
  • Manage public relations initiatives including media outreach and press releases.
  • Oversee social media presence to boost engagement and awareness.
  • Collaborate with tenants to highlight their work and achievements.
  • Support communications campaigns for Posner Center programs and events.
  • Manage office phone, voicemail, and mailroom in support of the Building Director.
  • Produce written and visual content for blogs, newsletters, photos, and videos reflecting tenant and Posner Center missions.
  • Distribute content across website, social media, internal groups, promotional materials, and event postings.
  • Promote events through content creation and distribution of flyers, emails, and calendars.
  • Foster relationships with tenants as community concierge and first point of contact.
  • Support tenant meetings, workshops, and networking events to enhance engagement.
  • Oversee website updates including event calendars and announcements using WordPress.
  • Manage front desk duties including greeting visitors and managing digital receptionist tools.
  • Assist Building Director with safe and efficient building operations including vendor communications and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in communications with a focus on public relations and brand management.
  • Proven ability to create effective communications strategies and campaigns.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems such as WordPress.
  • Experience in non-profit or international development sector is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
