Community Engagement Manager - Job Summary
The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for building grassroots-level acceptance and trust for Manna's service in the Tulsa community through relationship-building and local engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend routine local government meetings and council sessions to support on-the-ground efforts.
- Build informal relationships and familiarity with council staff and local officials.
- Provide timely feedback on local context, sentiment, and emerging issues to the Director of Corporate Affairs.
- Support logistics for visits and meetings when Manna Leadership is in Tulsa.
- Maintain regular presence in schools, community events, and local spaces to demonstrate Manna's work.
- Reinforce key themes of safety, community benefits, and innovation.
- Develop advocates within schools, clubs, community leadership, and local businesses.
- Identify and cultivate positive community voices for Manna.
- Serve as the visible, approachable local face of the company.
- Build relationships with community leaders, educators, and local organizations.
- Collaborate closely with the PR & Communications Manager to align local content and community engagement efforts.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills for community representation.
- Strong communication skills and reliable follow-through as a local execution partner.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in community engagement, local government, education outreach, nonprofit relations, or similar local roles.
- Deep familiarity with or roots in the Tulsa/Oklahoma community.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
