School Community Engagement Intern - Job Summary
The intern will serve as a liaison between the school and community stakeholders, promoting the school's values and enhancing engagement through event support, communications, and outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and promoting school events such as parent-teacher meetings and community outreach initiatives
- Maintain communication with stakeholders through newsletters, emails, and social media updates
- Support creation of materials showcasing school programs and student success stories
- Assist in outreach efforts to local businesses and community organizations for partnerships and sponsorships
- Help plan and execute events aligned with the school's mission and values
- Track community engagement efforts and assist with reporting on impact and participation
Requirements
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with event planning or community outreach is a plus
- Comfortable using social media platforms for engagement
- Organized, detail-oriented, self-starter able to meet deadlines
- Passion for education and building community relationships
- Available for approximately 10 hours per week with flexible scheduling
Education
Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
