Community Engagement Associate - Job Summary
The Community Engagement Associate is a field-based ambassador responsible for growing WorkMoney’s footprint in the Charlotte collar area by engaging community members, securing memberships, and supporting local outreach efforts over a six-month project-based term.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff the WorkMoney booth/space at community events to introduce residents to WorkMoney and secure membership opt-ins
- Deliver a consistent WorkMoney brand experience with inclusive, culturally aware outreach
- Identify and propose opportunities for authentic and culturally relevant community connections
- Identify high-potential members to develop into organizational ambassadors
- Capture topics relevant to North Carolina residents for issue-based campaigns
- Engage members online and offline to amplify voices on economic well-being issues
- Report quantitative and qualitative metrics with timely and accurate data entry
- Assist with event execution as directed
- Attend weekly calls, meetings, and trainings
Requirements
- Prior experience in member services, volunteer coordination, brand ambassadorship, or community organizing
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation and valid U.S. driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Residency in North Carolina collar area of Charlotte with ability to travel across territory
- Reliable, insured vehicle meeting or exceeding state minimum requirements
