Retail Manager - Job Summary
Lead the retail team at the Mons Royale Britomart store in Auckland, delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving community engagement while embodying the brand’s sustainability mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, coach and motivate a high-performing team that delivers results and lives Mons Royale values
- Lead from the floor at least 60% of the time, setting the tone for customer service and team culture
- Deliver an elevated in-store experience focusing on product presentation, stock control, security and operations
- Ensure visual merchandising and store standards reflect the premium brand image
- Plan and host community activations, events and partnerships in the outdoor and action sports scenes
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive customer-first culture
- Own sales targets, KPIs and team productivity, implementing retail strategies in alignment with business goals
- Provide regular coaching, training and development opportunities for the team
- Actively participate in outdoor activities and represent the Mons Royale mission authentically
Requirements
- Proven senior retail leadership experience with a track record of hitting sales targets and leading teams
- Ability to build relationships with customers, teammates and community partners
- Strategic and hands-on approach comfortable with activation planning and shop floor work
- Solid understanding of retail operations including POS, inventory management and merchandising
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for outdoors, sustainability and the brand mission
