Community Marketing Manager - Job Summary
Responsible for building and nurturing relationships within the CNCF community, leading marketing initiatives to drive awareness, engagement, and contributions to CNCF projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and foster connections as a trusted community advisor
- Engage community via Slack, conferences, calls, and events
- Encourage community support and connection
- Capture and amplify community successes and stories
- Identify opportunities for community and program growth
- Build and implement multi-channel community marketing campaigns
- Lead community meetings to drive engagement and participation
- Drive promotion and engagement for CNCF events
- Focus on cost reduction and maximizing value
- Coordinate with external agencies and internal partners
- Report on program engagement and impact
Requirements
- 4-5 years in end user engagement, community marketing, or ecosystem development in open source or enterprise software
- Exceptional relationship building and communication skills
- Stakeholder management and cross-functional engagement experience
- Familiarity with the cloud native community
- Experience writing and implementing multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Ability to manage changing priorities and major challenges
- Highly creative, composed, self-directed
- Exemplary organizational and prioritization skills
- Experience engaging with developers
- Community events management and strategy experience
- HubSpot certifications in email marketing or digital marketing preferred
- Experience with Canva required; Asana experience preferred
- Ability to travel internationally
