Community Marketing Manager - Job Summary

Responsible for building and nurturing relationships within the CNCF community, leading marketing initiatives to drive awareness, engagement, and contributions to CNCF projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and foster connections as a trusted community advisor
  • Engage community via Slack, conferences, calls, and events
  • Encourage community support and connection
  • Capture and amplify community successes and stories
  • Identify opportunities for community and program growth
  • Build and implement multi-channel community marketing campaigns
  • Lead community meetings to drive engagement and participation
  • Drive promotion and engagement for CNCF events
  • Focus on cost reduction and maximizing value
  • Coordinate with external agencies and internal partners
  • Report on program engagement and impact

Requirements

  • 4-5 years in end user engagement, community marketing, or ecosystem development in open source or enterprise software
  • Exceptional relationship building and communication skills
  • Stakeholder management and cross-functional engagement experience
  • Familiarity with the cloud native community
  • Experience writing and implementing multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and major challenges
  • Highly creative, composed, self-directed
  • Exemplary organizational and prioritization skills
  • Experience engaging with developers
  • Community events management and strategy experience
  • HubSpot certifications in email marketing or digital marketing preferred
  • Experience with Canva required; Asana experience preferred
  • Ability to travel internationally
