Community Manager - Job Summary
Manage and grow a regulated-sector community by building trust, ensuring compliance, and engaging audiences authentically across social platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a large social media community of 1,000+ users.
- Set and maintain community tone and facilitate member connections.
- Moderate daily communications and respond to questions/escalations.
- Identify and post trending conversations and daily content challenges.
- Report monthly on community themes, topics, and events.
- Ensure compliance with regulations in messaging and user-generated content.
- Monitor platforms for compliance breaches and mitigate risks.
- Liaise between organization, community, clients, and legal/compliance teams.
- Develop educational materials, community guidelines, and house rules.
- Design and execute long-term community programs within regulatory guidelines.
- Track engagement metrics and optimize strategies with relevant teams.
- Stay updated on creator trends and platform insights and share with teams.
- Continuously improve strategic plans and workflow procedures.
- Collaborate on case studies and compliance reports.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years in community management, public relations, or digital strategy in a regulated sector.
- Experience with creator programs.
- Deep knowledge of compliance standards, data privacy laws, and UGC moderation.
- Ability to anticipate PR and legal risks and exercise sound judgment in crises.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive messaging skills meeting fast deadlines.
- Cultural awareness and ability to identify audience-specific trends and threats.
- Passion for storytelling geared towards Gen Z and Millennial audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage diverse individuals.
- Understanding of key performance indicators and ability to act on findings.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
