Community Lead - Job Summary
Operate the Founding Steward Program as the platform's first human face by sourcing community founders, managing recruitment and onboarding, and setting cultural precedents within the governance platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and recruit founding stewards from researcher and practitioner networks and community leaders.
- Manage the recruitment funnel including outreach, application support, diligence, and recommendation memos.
- Run the genesis community quarter including announcements, Q&A, and charter programming.
- Support stewards with onboarding, charter development, community importation, office hours, and playbooks.
- Synthesize structured feedback from stewards and residents to influence platform development.
- Work with the founder on initial disputes and enforcement calls setting long-term culture.
Requirements
- Experience in building a community or product from zero to a thriving user base.
- Governance experience with concrete records such as subreddit moderation, DAO facilitation, Wikipedia administration, or large forum operations.
- Belief in moderation as constitutional design with strong views on due process online.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to exercise high judgment under ambiguity and maintain warmth without softness.
- Crypto fluency is helpful and learnable; strong conviction about governance is required.
