Community Manager - Job Summary

The Community Manager will cultivate strong relationships with members, foster a vibrant collaborative community, and amplify CommonAI's mission through engagement, event management, and communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for members, building rapport and understanding needs
  • Proactively engage members to encourage participation and facilitate connections
  • Gather feedback to improve community offerings and experience
  • Onboard new members with necessary resources
  • Plan and execute diverse online and in-person events including workshops and hackathons
  • Manage all logistical aspects of events such as venue booking and speaker coordination
  • Evaluate event success and identify improvements
  • Create content for email newsletters, forums, and website updates
  • Ensure consistent communication of announcements, resources, and opportunities
  • Develop and implement social media strategy to build brand awareness and engagement
  • Create and share engaging content on social platforms
  • Monitor social media, respond to inquiries, and foster positive interactions
  • Track and analyze social media performance to optimize engagement

Requirements

  • Passion for community building, particularly in supporting tech startups and fostering collaboration
  • Good understanding of open source development principles and AI technology ecosystem
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience planning and executing successful online and in-person events
  • Proficiency in social media platform management and social media tools
