Social and Community Manager - Job Summary
The Social and Community Manager will lead and execute social media and community strategies across multiple platforms, managing a team to create engaging content, drive audience growth, and maintain brand consistency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage day-to-day social media strategies, content planning, publishing, and community management across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, LinkedIn, and X.
- Lead a team of content creators, editors, and strategists to produce engaging content that drives engagement, growth, and conversion.
- Serve as brand voice or on-camera talent through scripting and recording content when needed.
- Analyze social content and community performance metrics weekly and monthly, delivering insights to stakeholders.
- Engage actively with followers by responding to comments, DMs, and mentions to build community loyalty.
- Manage community rewards and campaigns such as UGC contests, AMAs, polls, and cooking challenges to enhance organic engagement.
- Collaborate with customer service and CX teams to ensure consistent brand communication and resolve issues promptly.
- Develop and enforce social and community guidelines to maintain consistent brand voice.
Requirements
- 5+ years of social/digital content experience in consumer-facing brands, preferably in DTC, lifestyle, or food/culinary editorial.
- Proven experience managing and scaling social teams in high-growth environments.
- Strong strategic mindset with creative instincts and comprehension of social platform performance drivers.
- Data-driven and audience-focused decision-making ability.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with brand tone expertise.
- Comfortable with managing content production including short-form video and UGC.
- Bonus: experience in video editing, Adobe Creative Suite, or paid social.
- Ability to balance reactive and long-term content planning across multiple channels.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and manage team hierarchies.
- Passion for food, cooking, and kitchen innovation.
