Digital Ads and Community Manager - Job Summary
Develops and executes digital advertising and community engagement strategies to increase audience awareness, engagement, membership, fundraising revenue, and supporter retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute full-funnel digital advertising strategies across paid search, display, programmatic, CTV/OTT, and emerging channels.
- Plan, launch, monitor, and optimize paid media campaigns using A/B testing and performance data.
- Analyze CPM, CTR, CPA, ROAS, engagement, conversion, and other campaign metrics.
- Manage digital advertising budgets and optimize spending based on campaign performance.
- Develop data-driven recommendations for advertising creative, targeting, messaging, and audience growth.
- Build and manage membership or subscription-based digital communities.
- Develop community engagement strategies across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Patreon, and other social platforms.
- Establish community guidelines, moderation practices, and engagement protocols.
- Monitor and respond to comments, questions, and audience feedback.
- Analyze community sentiment, engagement, growth, and retention metrics.
- Identify user-generated content and opportunities to strengthen audience relationships.
- Collaborate with fundraising, marketing, communications, editorial, content, and analytics teams.
- Develop measurement frameworks to track the supporter journey from advertising exposure through engagement and conversion.
- Prepare campaign and community performance reports with actionable recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in digital advertising and paid media.
- 3–5 years of experience in social media and community management.
- Experience with paid search/SEM, programmatic display, native advertising, and CTV/OTT.
- Experience managing and optimizing digital advertising campaigns and budgets.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and online community management.
- Experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
- Strong analytical, writing, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to develop persuasive marketing and fundraising content.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
