Social Media & Community Manager - Job Summary
This role focuses on driving local market engagement by building relationships with designers, architects, builders, and homeowners through social media and in-person prospecting to increase showroom traffic and project wins.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect local designers, architects, installers, and builders using social media for initial outreach and relationship building
- Drive qualified homeowners into the showroom by engaging local community groups and running targeted digital strategies
- Maintain a consistent physical presence in the Orange County market visiting design firms, job sites, and lifestyle hubs
- Manage the full relationship lifecycle, ensuring digital interactions translate into CRM-logged sales opportunities
- Report monthly social media engagement, outreach, connections, and opportunity statistics
- Identify new media opportunities and connect with social media influencers
- Collaborate with content team to highlight local story opportunities to drive engagement and leads
- Engage trade ecosystem and homeowners on Instagram and LinkedIn to convert followers into showroom visitors
- Support local visibility of social media accounts using targeted content and geotags
- Lead showroom events including trade events and homeowner workshops
- Work with corporate marketing on project reveals and community initiatives like charity nights and pop-ups
- Launch and grow localized partnerships and co-branded content collaborations reaching high-net-worth audiences
Requirements
- 4+ years in hybrid role combining local marketing, trade relationships, and community management
- Proven hunter mentality using social media and offline networking to build professional networks and drive traffic
- Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot), social management suites (Dash Social, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite), and community-building tools
- Familiarity with Orange County luxury home-renovation market and decision-making for high-end residential projects
- Strong copywriting skills with platform-specific voice, tone, and formatting expertise
- Experience briefing and shaping content with creative teams and video editors
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in influencer marketing and partnership development
- Retail or omnichannel marketing experience
- Passion for design, interiors, and home improvement is a plus
