Recovery Coach - Job Summary
Provide certified peer support and recovery coaching in a remote role with periodic in-person community engagement to help clients set goals and build sustainable recovery paths.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one peer support and recovery coaching via phone, video, and digital platforms
- Empower clients to set, pursue, and achieve recovery goals through personalized action planning
- Create safe, supportive spaces for clients to share experiences and receive guidance without judgment
- Facilitate remote peer support groups to foster connection and community
- Assist clients in navigating treatment, healthcare, and recovery-oriented resources in Connecticut
- Track progress, maintain documentation, and ensure clinical and regulatory compliance
- Offer practical support with life skills, employment stability, financial management, and social support
- Participate in local events, outreach, and recovery networks within home state periodically
- Use AI-powered medical records and telehealth platforms to improve care and engagement
- Collaborate with clinicians, counselors, and team members for coordinated recovery support
Requirements
- Current residence in Connecticut
- Certified Recovery Coach or Peer Support Specialist (RSS, CPRS, CPSRP, or CCAR)
- Personal experience in recovery with empathetic, judgment-free support approach
- Experience providing peer support, recovery coaching, or related behavioral health services
- Knowledge of local treatment, recovery, and community resources in Connecticut
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for virtual and in-person rapport building
- Comfort with technology including telehealth platforms, AI-driven systems, and electronic medical records
- Self-motivated with strong time management and ability to work independently remotely
- Willingness and ability to participate in occasional in-person community engagement
