Community Manager - Job Summary
The Community Manager will build authentic connections within the fitness/lifestyle community, focusing on engagement, copywriting, and trend spotting aligned with the brand voice and gym culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Review content calendar from Social Media Coordinator
- Schedule and publish posts to ensure timely content delivery
- Write engaging captions reflecting the brand’s voice
- Respond to comments and DMs professionally and empathetically
- Encourage community participation and highlight user-generated content
- Collaborate with Social Media Coordinator on new ideas
- Stay updated on social trends, audios, and platform changes
- Share community insights to inform content strategy
- Build relationships with followers, ambassadors, and advocates
- Monitor conversations for risks and opportunities
- Handle sensitive issues professionally
Requirements
- 1–2 years experience in community management, social media or related role
- Strong copywriting skills adaptable to brand voice
- Excellent empathetic and engaging communication skills
- Solid understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and community behaviors
- Familiarity with community management/scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later, Sprout Social, Buffer)
- Ability to identify and act on social trends and cultural moments
- Comfortable analyzing engagement data and community feedback
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills
- Collaborative mindset to work with team members
