Community Engagement Manager - Job Summary
The Community Engagement Manager will lead business and community outreach to promote Love to Ride's Ride 365 programme in Lancashire, focusing on increasing participation, especially among new or inexperienced riders.
Key Responsibilities
- Encourage businesses to register and participate through phone, email, in-person contact, presentations, and promotional activities.
- Act as liaison for stakeholders and project partners, maintaining relationships and providing progress reports.
- Engage local partner organisations to promote the Challenge within their networks.
- Identify and support business ‘Champions’ to promote Love to Ride internally.
- Provide excellent customer service to participants and business champions.
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation activities such as collecting case studies.
- Perform any duties assigned by the Love to Ride Project Manager to further programme aims.
- Collaborate with client teams to deliver an effective and ongoing programme.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with a target-oriented approach.
- Enthusiastic, self-starter with a can-do attitude.
- Able to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Confident to work independently.
- High IT literacy and experience with online applications and tools.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse business sectors, including public services, corporates, SMEs, local businesses and communities.
- Desirable: knowledge of CRM systems, ideally Hubspot; experience building contact databases; reporting capabilities; history of meeting targets.
