Communications & Community Manager - Job Summary
Manage internal and external communications to enhance visibility and brand strength of the Posner Center, while fostering tenant engagement and managing community operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategy and work plan.
- Create and manage consistent branding materials and public relations initiatives.
- Oversee social media presence and collaborate with tenants to highlight their work.
- Produce high-quality written and visual content reflecting the missions and stories of the Posner Center and tenants.
- Manage content distribution across multiple platforms including website and social media.
- Promote events through creation and distribution of content and materials.
- Foster strong relationships with tenant organizations, acting as community concierge and first point of contact.
- Support organization of tenant meetings, workshops, and networking events.
- Manage website updates and serve as front desk concierge during on-site hours.
- Assist with vendor communications and building maintenance as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in communications focusing on public relations and brand management.
- Demonstrated ability to create effective communications strategies and campaigns.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems like WordPress.
- Experience in non-profit sector or international development is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
