Director of Community Engagement - Job Summary
Lead the market growth and community-facing operations by managing the Community Engagement team, developing strategic outreach plans, and cultivating key institutional partnerships with expected travel to active markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute multi-year citywide and regional outreach plans with clinical staff and leadership
- Cultivate executive-level relationships with regional safety-net hospitals, health systems, and community agencies
- Set and manage regional enrollment targets and evaluate outreach effectiveness
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the Community Engagement team with a focus on accountability and excellence
- Provide real-time coaching in the field and lead recruitment and training of outreach staff
- Serve as primary escalation point for urgent provider and patient transition issues
- Collaborate with clinical leads to synchronize referral pipeline with clinic capacity
- Oversee documentation and use of CRM systems and Google Suite for team activities
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, community outreach, or referral management
- At least 4 years in leadership or management role
- Metrics-driven with a history of building high-performing teams and meeting growth targets
- Exceptional public speaking and stakeholder influence skills
- Proficiency with CRM tools, Google Suite, and Slack
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with approximately 30% travel
