Head of Community - Job Summary
The Head of Community will lead community building, development, and management efforts, focusing on outreach, growth, and engagement across various social media and online platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify social media and online outlets to reach target audiences on platforms such as X, LinkedIn, Reddit, StackOverflow, Github, and industry-specific websites
- Create and manage an outreach calendar with potential topics for proactive engagement
- Engage in online conversations with the community and target industries
- Create and maintain a content calendar including targeted content and deadlines
- Define, measure, and track key KPIs to assess community engagement and growth
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Community Building at B2B/SAAS companies
- 5+ years of experience with Open Source projects and/or Developer ecosystems
- Startup mindset with hands-on approach, frugality, grit, passion, and mission-driven focus
- Skills in Growth Marketing, Customer Acquisition, and Growth Hacking
- Social Media Strategy experience on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and Github
- Sales and Business Development skills
- Experience developing and executing growth strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- Additional preferred experiences: 10+ years with Open Source/Developer community, 10+ years in Developer Marketing, 5+ years with Web3, Peer to Peer, Decentralized technologies
