Social Community Manager - Job Summary

The Social Community Manager will build, grow, and nurture online communities around Visionalpop's character IP brands, acting as the voice of the characters and fostering engagement across digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and grow vibrant online communities across social media, forums, and digital channels
  • Foster a positive and inclusive community environment encouraging participation
  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies aligned with brand objectives
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key community members, influencers, and brand advocates
  • Curate and manage engaging content including posts, videos, stories, and interactive media
  • Develop content calendars aligned with storylines, product launches, and campaigns
  • Write compelling copy capturing each character's unique voice
  • Collaborate with creative partners to ensure content consistency
  • Manage daily operations of social media accounts on multiple platforms
  • Monitor community platforms for discussions, trends, and fan-generated content
  • Respond to comments, questions, and feedback in a timely, authentic manner
  • Moderate discussions and enforce community guidelines
  • Track and analyze community engagement metrics and sentiment
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to marketing and product teams
  • Generate reports on community performance and campaign effectiveness
  • Organize and host virtual events, live streams, Q&As, and meetups
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns around character launches and partnerships
  • Coordinate fan contests, challenges, and user-generated content initiatives
  • Attend industry events and conventions to represent the brand

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or related field
  • 3+ years experience in social media management or community engagement
  • Proven track record of growing and managing online communities, preferably in entertainment or character-based brands
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to adapt voice for different characters
  • Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and content creation software
  • Strong understanding of pop culture trends, anime, gaming, and character fandoms
  • Experience in entertainment, gaming, anime, or character IP industries preferred
  • Knowledge of Discord or fun related community management preferred
  • Experience with influencer partnerships and creator collaborations preferred
  • Proven ability in community building and fostering loyal brand advocates
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and strategy optimization
  • Excellent multitasking and project management skills
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of global fan cultures
  • Ability to handle negative feedback and community issues professionally

Education

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or related field
