Manager, Digital Community - Job Summary
Responsible for managing and growing LBBC’s digital community platform, fostering engagement, and integrating the digital community with the organization's programs and outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement digital community engagement strategies with Flourish as the primary hub.
- Moderate and engage in community discussions, share relevant content, and foster a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment.
- Monitor trending topics and ideas across social media platforms including Flourish, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, and breast cancer communities.
- Collaborate with various LBBC teams to connect in-person experiences with the digital community and facilitate online to in-person engagement.
- Serve as the internal expert on Flourish and Mighty Pro platforms, advising on features and updates to support engagement and inclusion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience moderating large, diverse online communities on platforms such as Mighty Networks, Discord, Reddit, or Slack; preference for healthcare-related communities.
- Proven experience building or growing discussion-based online communities.
- Creative and proactive approach to moderation and engagement.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Mighty Networks preferred.
- Genuine interest in healthcare, patient advocacy, or oncology.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
