Community Engagement Intern - Job Summary
The Community Engagement intern supports outreach strategies to build relationships with community organizations and government entities to promote TerraCycle's recycling programs, working closely with client-facing teams and contributing to sustainability and business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the team in organizing ideas in a convincing and compelling manner for a wide range of clients
- Work cross functionally with other departments to ensure deliverables for clients
- Support the development of client-ready marketing, communications, and sustainability recommendations for clients and potential clients
- Prepare materials and drive interactions with current and prospective partners using various communication and research channels
Requirements
- Must commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week
- Can work fully remote if not located in NJ/Metro Philly/NYC area
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Pursuing a degree related to Business Administration, Environmental Studies, Public Policy, Political Science, Communication, or Sustainability
- In good academic standing if enrolled in college
- Intermediate skills in Google Suite
- Strong research abilities
- Effective written, oral, and digital communication skills
Education
High school diploma or equivalent GED; pursuing relevant degree preferred
