Director of Community Engagement - Job Summary
The Director of Community Engagement leads community-facing operations to grow and manage the membership, sponsor relationships, and industry partnerships for InsuranceAUM.com.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead relationships with sponsor community and asset management firms.
- Identify and secure new sponsorships aligned with organizational mission.
- Partner to develop sponsorship pricing and renewal strategies.
- Represent organization at industry conferences and events.
- Develop and execute member and community growth strategies.
- Monitor and report membership and engagement metrics.
- Prospect and engage Chief Investment Officers and finance professionals.
- Implement business development strategies to meet growth and revenue goals.
- Coordinate content, events, marketing, and operations to enhance member experience.
- Partner on strategy and content for signature events and forums.
- Lead and manage colleagues, foster positive workplace culture.
- Serve as strategic partner to Executive Director and assume additional duties.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred.
- 10+ years in membership, community engagement, or related experience.
- Experience in membership organizations, professional associations, or non-profits preferred.
- Successful B2B sales and business development experience.
- Proven leadership and management of member- or customer-facing teams preferred.
- Experience in insurance or asset management industries preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sales CRM.
- Customer service orientation and relationship sales skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally across organizational levels.
- Team collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking, creativity, and problem-solving ability.
Education
Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred
