Social Media & Community Manager - Job Summary

Lead Nagish's social media presence and community engagement, driving influencer strategy and advocacy to grow the brand within the accessibility and Deaf communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own strategy, execution, and performance monitoring of social media channels including X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Meta, TikTok.
  • Create and implement content calendars with high-impact, platform-specific content in spoken and ASL formats.
  • Collaborate on scripting and developing short-form content that captures attention and drives conversation.
  • Monitor and apply emerging social trends, memes, and best practices to maintain relevance.
  • Provide structured feedback on content to ensure consistent brand voice and performance.
  • Drive consistent growth in followers and engagement through tailored strategies and campaigns.
  • Develop and execute community engagement strategies increasing visibility in accessibility, IP CTS, and IP Relay sectors.
  • Engage with advocacy groups, community leaders, users, and stakeholders in digital and real-world settings.
  • Represent Nagish at conferences, panels, and networking events related to Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities.
  • Monitor discussions, sentiments, and trends within the accessibility space.
  • Design and execute community growth strategies to expand presence within the Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and broader accessibility communities.
  • Identify, source, and collaborate with influencers in targeted communities to boost awareness and conversions.
  • Manage influencer campaign execution including outreach, negotiation, content briefing, approval, and performance tracking.
  • Maintain authentic relationships with influencer partners aligned with company values.
  • Stay informed about influencer marketing, accessibility, and assistive technology developments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in social media, influencer marketing, community management, or advocacy, preferably in accessibility, tech, or telecom.
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and grow online communities and advocacy networks.
  • Strong copywriting, storytelling, and scriptwriting skills tailored to social media.
  • Passion for inclusivity, accessibility, and empowering marginalized communities.
  • Strong project management skills managing multiple campaigns and partners.
  • Confident public speaker or on-camera presence, with or without interpretation.
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms and applying insights to optimize performance.
  • Experience with influencer discovery tools and managing digital partnerships is a plus.
  • Video editing or visual storytelling background is a bonus.
  • Ability to work Eastern Time Zone hours due to team collaboration.
