Social Media Manager - Job Summary

Lead the development and execution of social media and community outreach strategies to boost brand awareness, engage customers, and build community trust in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, create, and schedule engaging social media content for multiple platforms tailored to Texas customers.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice reflecting core values of community, collaboration, and curiosity.
  • Manage community engagement by responding to social media interactions and fostering local partnerships.
  • Ideate and execute social media campaigns, contests, and marketing integration including SMS and email.
  • Track and analyze social media performance metrics and present recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Create and manage a year-long content strategy and calendar aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams on local events and sponsorships, requiring on-site visits.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and lead adoption of new tools and strategies.
  • Produce and oversee visual content creation, including on-site photo/video shoots.
  • Manage paid social media advertising and budget allocation targeting Texas demographics.
  • Utilize project management and marketing tools such as HubSpot, Rinsed, Asana, and Google Suite.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support business objectives and contribute to non-social media marketing tasks.
  • Improve team processes and mentor junior members as the marketing team grows.
  • Attend industry conferences annually to network and stay informed on best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years managing social media for consumer-facing brands, preferably in car wash, retail, or membership-based services.
  • Experience in community outreach, influencer partnerships, or local marketing is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability creating engaging content on Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Proficiency with social media tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer; and familiarity with Canva, Adobe Photoshop (preferred), Meta Ads, Google Ads, HubSpot, Rinsed, SMS and email marketing.
  • Strong skills in Google Suite and Asana for productivity and project management.
  • Advanced analytical skills for measuring and optimizing campaign performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to craft Texas-centric brand voice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with community leaders, site managers, and customers.
  • Deep understanding of Texas market and local culture; car wash industry knowledge preferred.
  • Attributes needed include curiosity, creativity, organization, detail orientation, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, non-traditional environment.
  • Portfolio demonstrating successful social media campaigns and community engagement projects.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
