Community Engagement Partner - Job Summary
Responsible for strengthening relationships with community organizations and stakeholders, supporting outreach and event efforts, conducting community research, and assisting with fundraising to advance Healthix's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, advocacy groups, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
- Represent Healthix at community meetings, health fairs, and public events.
- Identify opportunities for community engagement and participation in initiatives.
- Serve as liaison between Healthix and community stakeholders.
- Research and identify relevant community events and networking opportunities.
- Coordinate Healthix participation in community and industry events.
- Assist with planning and execution of Healthix-sponsored events and educational programs.
- Support recruitment of community partners and stakeholders.
- Conduct research on community health trends, organizations, and issues.
- Gather and organize information on community needs, resources, and partnerships.
- Track engagement activities and prepare reports.
- Maintain and update stakeholder and community partner databases.
- Manage contact lists and outreach records.
- Prepare correspondence, event materials, and outreach communications.
- Assist in soliciting sponsorships, donations, and in-kind contributions.
- Support donor and sponsor relationship management.
Requirements
- Experience with community-based organizations, advocacy groups, public affairs, healthcare, government relations, or nonprofit organizations.
- Experience organizing or supporting community events and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience maintaining databases and tracking outreach activities.
- Experience conducting research and compiling information for reports.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter capable of independent and collaborative work.
- Comfortable with research and data collection.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRM or contact management systems is a plus.
- Ability to travel regularly within Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island.
- Availability for occasional evenings and weekends.
Education
College degree not required; relevant work or volunteer experience preferred and may substitute formal education.
