Social Media & Community Manager - Job Summary

The Social Media & Community Manager oversees the Trust's organic social media platforms, using multimedia storytelling and audience engagement to strengthen the organization's reputation and community connections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve the Trust’s social media and community engagement strategy.
  • Manage the social media content calendar balancing event promotion, storytelling, sponsor commitments, and sales priorities.
  • Create, capture, and publish timely photography and video content from various Trust activities.
  • Edit photography and video for social platforms ranging from informal coverage to polished storytelling.
  • Write concise, platform-tailored copy maintaining a consistent Trust voice.
  • Monitor social channels and engage with audiences through comments and messages.
  • Moderate comments and escalate reputational or sensitive issues as needed.
  • Provide live and fast-turn social coverage of events including evening and weekend assignments.
  • Use analytics tools to track performance and inform content and channel strategy.
  • Build and manage relationships with creators and influencers.
  • Provide guest service through social media in coordination with guest services team.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners on shared content and campaigns.
  • Prepare performance reports and share insights with leadership.
  • Commit to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion practices.
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, multimedia, advertising, digital marketing, or related technical field preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in social media management, communications, or multimedia.
  • Required strong photography, videography, and editing skills.
  • Preferred channel-specific copywriting experience.
  • Strong time and project management skills with ability to prioritize in fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for the Trust’s mission and arts-driven revitalization.
  • Self-motivated, curious, tactful, determined, patient, organized.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred in communications, multimedia, advertising, digital marketing, or related field
