Manager, Community Engagement - Job Summary
The Manager of Jewish Experiences is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs that strengthen Jewish identity, celebrate culture, and foster community connection through strategic partnerships and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver programs that strengthen Jewish identity and celebrate culture.
- Engage community members through outreach, partnerships, and relationship-building.
- Collaborate with local synagogues, agencies, and organizations on shared initiatives.
- Support Israel engagement efforts through educational and cultural programming.
- Partner with marketing staff to promote programs effectively.
- Measure program impact through feedback and evaluation for continuous improvement.
- Assist with budgeting and logistics to ensure efficient program management.
- Collaborate with colleagues across The J and Jewish Federation for organizational initiatives.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of Jewish practice, ritual, culture, and tradition.
- Proactive, creative, and strategic with the ability to develop engaging learning opportunities.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Skilled at building relationships within diverse Jewish communities.
- Proven budget management and resource allocation skills.
- Technologically savvy and open to new tools and platforms.
- Familiarity with the Kansas City Jewish community preferred.
- Passionate about Jewish living, learning, and creative program development.
