Community Manager - Job Summary
Responsible for creating connection among members, growing membership, and managing the overall member experience at The Battery club through direct interaction, event coordination, and service oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests professionally and escort as needed.
- Grow membership by cultivating new nominations from key individuals.
- Introduce vetted guests and nominate them for membership.
- Conduct new member orientations including tours and networking events.
- Manage small networking and social events, including event planning and postings.
- Be a familiar presence during members' visits to foster community.
- Connect members to enhance sense of community and belonging.
- Act as VIP handler to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Monitor and ensure quality of service throughout the club.
- Handle unruly guests and escalate issues to membership operations director.
- Communicate effectively with all departments for continuous service.
- Attend nominee open houses and provide feedback on applicants.
- Manage social media presence and grow subscriber base organically.
- Create and manage CRM system for new and at-risk members.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of club events, operations, and environment.
- Assist with special requests and ensure coordinated service.
- Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork and respect.
- Maintain employee morale and assist in recruitment for open positions.
Requirements
- Very personable, outgoing, and able to maintain positive energy on the floor.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Polished, professional demeanor.
- Ability to lead, motivate team members, and foster teamwork.
- Good knowledge of dining service steps and event management.
- Available to work mostly evenings, some weekends, and major club events.
- College degree or equivalent experience/education preferred.
- Minimum three years experience in luxury hospitality.
- Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- Able to meet legal age requirements.
