Retail Manager - Job Summary
Lead the retail team at the Mons Royale Britomart store to deliver exceptional customer experiences, drive store performance, and engage with the local action sports community as the Auckland brand ambassador.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, coach and motivate a high-performing team reflecting Mons Royale values.
- Lead on the shop floor at least 60% of the time to set customer service and culture tone.
- Deliver elevated in-store experience including product presentation, stock control, and security.
- Ensure visual merchandising and store standards align with the premium brand image.
- Plan and host community activations, events, and partnerships to build brand loyalty.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive customer-first culture reflecting passion for performance and sustainability.
- Take ownership of sales targets, KPIs and team productivity, aligning with business goals.
- Provide continuous coaching, training and development opportunities for team members.
- Actively embody and represent the Mons Royale lifestyle and mission.
Requirements
- Proven senior retail leadership experience with track record of meeting sales targets.
- Strong relationship-building skills with customers, teammates, and community partners.
- Strategic and hands-on approach comfortable with planning and shop floor involvement.
- Solid knowledge of retail operations including POS, inventory management and merchandising.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Passion for outdoors, sustainability and brand mission.
