Senior Head of Community - Job Summary

Lead the strategy, structure, and growth of the client's community ecosystem, driving brand advocacy, loyalty, and engagement through refined messaging and hands-on leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive community strategy across platforms
  • Build engaged customer ecosystems including private groups and ambassador programs
  • Develop systems to convert customers into advocates
  • Increase retention, lifetime value, and brand affinity through community touchpoints
  • Refine and elevate brand messaging across community channels
  • Identify and correct inconsistencies in messaging
  • Develop unified voice frameworks across teams
  • Translate complex product science into community-first language
  • Lead brand messaging clean-up initiatives
  • Monitor community sentiment and proactively address friction points
  • Create escalation processes for brand concerns
  • Build transparent communication systems to increase trust
  • Shape brand response to tension or feedback
  • Design and scale ambassador and advocacy programs
  • Identify and elevate power users to brand champions
  • Create feedback loops between community and product teams
  • Develop referral and advocacy initiatives tied to growth metrics
  • Build and manage the community team
  • Establish SOPs for engagement, moderation, messaging, and reporting
  • Collaborate with Social, Paid Media, CX, and Product teams
  • Implement reporting dashboards for retention and brand sentiment

Requirements

  • 5+ years in community leadership roles, preferably in DTC or consumer brands
  • Proven experience scaling engaged communities beyond follower growth
  • Strong brand strategist with keen positioning and tone instincts
  • Experience refining or repositioning brand messaging
  • Comfortable leading brand pivots and narrative transitions
  • Deep understanding of loyalty, retention, and customer psychology
  • Highly organized, strategic, and systems-oriented
