Senior Fitness Community Manager - Job Summary
Manage and grow the Live 2 B Healthy fitness program across partner communities by overseeing trainers, scheduling classes, maintaining program quality, and building strong community relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage master class schedule across client locations
- Assign trainers and arrange qualified substitutes to prevent disruptions
- Ensure trainers are certified and compliant with program standards
- Conduct site visits, observe classes, and provide feedback
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new trainers
- Coordinate initial training for new hires
- Serve as primary contact for class schedules and communications with communities
- Monitor and support trainer performance and facilitate continuing education
- Serve as backup instructor to cover classes when needed
- Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at partner communities
- Monitor program success metrics and resolve issues to ensure client satisfaction
Requirements
- Experience in fitness instruction, personal training, or group exercise management
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Confidence in managing multiple trainers and community relationships
- Current nationally recognized fitness certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, AFAA, or equivalent)
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Carry active insurance
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Preferred: experience in senior fitness or working with older adults
- Preferred: experience in relationship development and management in senior living, healthcare, wellness, or fitness
- Preferred: experience with Mindbody platform managing class schedules
- Preferred: understanding of age-related conditions and safe exercise tailoring
- Preferred: familiarity with fitness program management or franchise operations
