Senior Community Manager - Job Summary
The Senior Community Manager will autonomously lead Botpress's presence on high-impact channels like YouTube and Reddit, while maintaining activity on LinkedIn and Discord, combining strategic planning with hands-on execution of content creation and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage Botpress's YouTube channel: strategy, content cadence, and creation of authentic UGC-style videos, directing freelancers or agencies as needed.
- Build and maintain Botpress's presence on Reddit through authentic participation and valuable content in relevant subreddits.
- Collaborate with SEO and content teams to integrate community efforts with SEO and Generative Engine Optimization strategies.
- Manage LinkedIn employee advocacy by transforming team expertise into consistent relevant posts and creating support systems for steady brand presence.
- Steward Botpress's 30,000-member Discord community by ensuring its health, proactive and reactive engagement, and handling sensitive situations calmly.
- Use AI tools as a force multiplier for research, scripting, editing, ideation, and analysis.
- Set goals, track performance, and focus on activities with cumulative impact.
- Balance roles as both strategist and executor, comfortable planning and delivering work.
Requirements
- Self-starter who identifies opportunities, plans, and executes independently without waiting for direction.
- Ability to create, script, and capture raw UGC-style video content, plus direct freelancers/agencies for polished final products.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge and authentic brand-building experience on Reddit with examples.
- Versatile across multiple channels, strong on key priorities and competent with others; not a narrow specialist.
- Over 5 years of experience in community management, social media, or content with proven track record of growing engaged audiences from scratch.
- Concrete example of using AI to enhance community or content impact in practice.
- Strong sense of brand voice, good judgment under pressure, and understanding what engages online communities.
