Recovery Coach - Job Summary
Provide certified recovery coaching and peer support remotely with occasional in-person community engagement in Connecticut, helping clients achieve sustainable recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one peer support and recovery coaching via phone, video, and digital platforms
- Empower clients to set and achieve recovery goals through personalized action plans
- Create safe, supportive spaces for clients to share experiences and receive guidance
- Facilitate remote peer support groups to foster community
- Help clients navigate treatment, healthcare, and recovery resources in Connecticut
- Track progress and maintain accurate documentation according to clinical standards
- Offer practical support in life skills, employment, financial management, and social support
- Participate in local events, outreach, and recovery networks several times per year
- Use AI-powered medical records and telehealth platforms to enhance care
- Collaborate with clinicians and counselors for coordinated recovery support
Requirements
- Certification as RSS, CPRS, CPSRP, or CCAR
- Residency in Connecticut
- Personal experience in recovery with empathetic, non-judgmental support
- Proven experience in peer support or recovery coaching
- Knowledge of local treatment and community resources
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills remotely and in person
- Comfort using telehealth, AI-driven systems, and electronic medical records
- Self-motivated with strong time management and independent work ability
- Willingness to participate in occasional in-person community engagement
