Director of Community Engagement - Job Summary
Leads outreach, communications, and partnership strategies to strengthen community connections and advance early learning services through marketing, events, and literacy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Design and develop community engagement initiatives to increase awareness.
- Oversee communication, marketing, advertising, outreach, and event success with consistent messaging.
- Implement literacy initiatives effectively.
- Coordinate all activities to align with organizational goals.
- Serve as community liaison for partnerships.
- Maintain regular communication with leadership to support alignment and decision-making.
Requirements
- Excellent written and oral management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and maintain morale under pressure.
- Strong accountability to executive team, coworkers, and community partners.
- Knowledge of quality customer service principles.
- Ability to evaluate information and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Effective problem solving, decision-making, and conflict management.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work sensitively with diverse individuals.
- Design, implement, and evaluate process effectiveness.
- Acquire expertise in Florida laws governing programs.
- Develop and implement program strategies.
- Work independently and supervise staff with limited supervision.
- Seek organizational growth and nurture community partnerships.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field from an accredited university/college.
