Director of Marketing and Community Engagement - Job Summary
Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies, brand management, community outreach, and digital engagement to enhance patient access and build strong community partnerships aligned with the organization's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and brand strategies to increase awareness and patient acquisition
- Create and manage all brand content including copywriting, graphic design, and creative direction
- Conduct market research and audience segmentation to guide positioning and creative development
- Manage public relations efforts including press releases and media outreach
- Serve as primary content creator for marketing materials across multiple platforms
- Design and produce visual content using Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
- Maintain content calendar supporting campaigns and ongoing engagement
- Lead digital marketing efforts including website strategy, paid ads, SEO/SEM, and email marketing
- Manage CRM systems and analyze digital analytics to refine marketing strategies
- Lead community outreach initiatives and build partnerships with local organizations
- Oversee community outreach team and align activities with grant-funded programs
- Represent the organization at community events and health fairs
- Lead and mentor the marketing and outreach team, setting goals and performance metrics
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure collaboration across teams
- Manage marketing and outreach budget and track ROI on initiatives
- Report marketing performance metrics and recommend growth strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 7 years marketing, outreach, communications, or community engagement experience exclusively in healthcare
- Proven success developing and executing marketing and outreach campaigns
- Experience managing teams and cross-functional marketing initiatives
- Expertise in digital marketing, social media strategy, SEO/SEM, and content marketing
- Strong knowledge of branding, public relations, and community engagement best practices
- Ability to analyze data and adjust marketing strategies accordingly
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills engaging diverse audiences
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills in mission-driven environments
- Proficiency in HubSpot CRM including marketing automation and campaign tracking
- Ability to use CRM analytics for patient engagement optimization
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or related field (Master’s preferred)
