Membership Director - Job Summary
The Membership Director owns and manages a community board of senior executives, shaping conversations, facilitating discussions, and building relationships to foster engagement and trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Research emerging business issues to develop relevant discussion topics
- Moderate and facilitate high-level conversations via group calls, 1:1 connections, in-person meetings, and email discussions
- Act as a connector by introducing members to appropriate peers, ideas, and resources
- Build personal and professional relationships with members to guide conversations
- Maintain community integrity by upholding confidentiality and membership standards
- Collaborate with Member Operations to enhance member experience
- Manage account health, drive engagement, and support annual renewals
Requirements
- Experience as a community manager, membership leader, moderator, facilitator, or in content, policy, or issues-focused roles
- Ability to lead executive groups effectively without self-focus
- Experience working directly with Fortune 1000 leaders (CXO, VP, Director) as employee, consultant, or vendor
- Excellent communication skills in writing, phone, stage, and social media
- Intellectual curiosity and storytelling/conversation skills
- Ability to quickly build expertise on complex business topics; advanced degree is a plus
