Community Manager - Job Summary

The Community Manager will manage brand communities across multiple social media platforms by engaging audiences, conducting social listening, and collaborating with internal teams to support brand programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate communities across various social media channels by posting/scheduling content and engaging audiences proactively and reactively
  • Conduct daily social listening to monitor industry and brand conversations and identify trendjacking opportunities
  • Report on community management trends and insights to inform brand recommendations and content ideas
  • Partner with account, project management, and creative teams to align community activities with brand programs
  • Collaborate with brand customer service teams as needed
  • Support account teams with client communications, meeting preparations, campaign activities, and project timelines
  • Assist copywriting team with content development
  • Assist strategy and account teams with ad hoc and monthly reporting and analytics
  • Participate in brainstorms, client calls, team meetings, and compile notes and action items
  • Stay updated on latest social media platform trends and industry best practices

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of community management experience, preferably at an agency
  • Experience in beauty brands required; lifestyle, consumer tech, or food & beverage experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of major social media channels and their features
  • Hands-on experience with social listening and translating insights into brand and creative recommendations
  • Proficiency in content management tools (like Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Khoros) and analytics platforms (like Meltwater)
  • Strong understanding of online customer service best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ambitious, flexible, meticulous, creative problem solver, inquisitive, collaborative, honest, and committed to diversity and inclusion
