Community Manager - Job Summary
This role involves managing and engaging gaming communities worldwide by reviewing interactions, responding to players, creating content, and fostering a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review all incoming community interactions on social media platforms and communicate directly with players
- Respond to comments and player queries in a timely manner
- Create engaging content for social media
- Build reports on community growth and engagement and propose improvements
- Assist developers by collating and reporting on player feedback
- Foster and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for game communities
- Moderate discussions and comments following community guidelines
- Proactively suggest new ways to grow and care for the community
- Create and update corresponding documentation as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional community management or social media experience in gaming
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bilingualism (English with French, Spanish, or German) is a plus
- Passion for video games and social media
- Strong understanding of social media/community management platforms such as Discord, Twitch, Reddit, Instagram, Facebook
- Expertise with social listening and social management best practices
- Experience managing or moderating a thriving gaming community
- Higher education in marketing, business administration, communication, adult education, or related fields
