Community Manager - Job Summary

Manage and develop an online community forum focused on Medicaid access advocacy, ensuring active engagement and supporting policy staff for a two-year project term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor Hub operation to ensure member engagement and ease of use
  • Provide technical support to site users
  • Create new webpages, topics, and conversations as needed
  • Review community information to identify concerns and suggest solutions
  • Disseminate weekly newsletters and assist in publication development
  • Aggregate and analyze community engagement data
  • Conduct outreach to state organizations and advocacy partners
  • Support relationship development with national and state advocacy groups
  • Assist in developing trainings and presentations
  • Write grant reports and document timekeeping
  • Participate in internal meetings and collaborate with development, communication, and operations teams

Requirements

  • Knowledge of community building and engagement
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of independence, initiative, and good judgment
  • Excellent speaking and writing abilities
  • Creativity and ability to work independently and in a team
  • Understanding of racial inequity and ability to manage across differences
  • Commitment to NHeLP’s mission and values

Education

B.A. from an accredited college or university
