Community Manager - Job Summary

Manage out-of-hours community engagement specifically supporting a partnership with Formula 1, delivering timely and informed social media moderation and interaction during race weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with partners and broader community by responding to comments and reposting partner content.
  • Maintain high community presence during key Formula 1 weekends.
  • Provide event-based weekend social support of approximately 3 hours per day, possibly two sessions on race weekends.
  • Watch or follow Formula 1 live or highlights to ensure relevant community engagement.
  • Conduct occasional pre-event partner engagement and posting as needed.
  • Focus on engagement primarily on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
  • Follow a defined escalation protocol for handling sensitive or high-risk responses.
  • Plan scheduling and roster based on advance notice for Formula 1 events.
  • Adapt to international time zones for some race events.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience managing social communities for digital culture-driven brands.
  • Agency-side experience in fast-paced, social-first environments.
  • Strong fluency and speed in social media publishing, especially Instagram and X.
  • Ability to engage authentically with community using appropriate tone and brand personality.
  • Contextual awareness of races to shape timely and relevant responses.
  • Skill in identifying engaging content formats to capture audience attention.
  • Comfortable working independently with team collaboration during weekend events.
  • Knowledge of sports marketing, sponsorships, or brand-partner ecosystems is a plus.
  • Interest or enthusiasm for Formula 1 is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in sports or live event environments preferred.
