Senior Development Associate - Job Summary

The Senior Development Associate supports multiple team leads within the Community Engagement Department by promoting collaboration, offering strategic support, and ensuring successful execution of major initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team leads to design comprehensive programming frameworks.
  • Plan and execute educational programming, including securing speakers for events.
  • Develop educational content for school-based initiatives.
  • Partner with donors and local stakeholders to develop community education programs.
  • Maintain internal support systems and coordinate with regional leadership.
  • Support rollout of engagement initiatives and assist team leads with programming.
  • Provide strategic input and adapt to evolving departmental needs.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of success in community engagement or related field.
  • Ability to make thoughtful, inclusive decisions balancing strategic vision and detail.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with independent initiative.
  • Background in community organizing and program development.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills with integrity and collaboration.
  • Flexibility working with volunteer leaders and diverse stakeholders.
  • High energy, self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to attend evening and weekend events.
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Strong commitment to supporting active-duty service members, veterans, and their families.

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
