Community Manager - Job Summary

The Community Manager for New York supports and enables community builders to lead and create meaningful experiences for young Jewish adults locally, managing residents in Houses and Pods and tracking program goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as mentor and manager to House and Pod residents, guiding them in programming, community building, and relationship maintenance.
  • Recruit residents for new and existing Houses and Pods through networking and social connections.
  • Manage financial data and administrative tasks supporting community builders.
  • Evaluate and create risk mitigation plans and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Lead and facilitate special projects, sessions at conferences/retreats, and improve departmental processes.
  • Develop strong knowledge of young adult life in the regional community.
  • Report to the Director, House & Pod Programs, Operations and Strategy.

  • Strong networker able to build individual relationships through remote and in-person interactions.
  • Organized and effective problem-solver.
  • Flexibility to work weekday office hours plus nights and occasional weekends.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Monday.com preferred but not required.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Familiarity with Mem Global as staff, resident, host, or community member preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or four additional years of work experience
