Community Engagement Intern - Job Summary
Assist in community outreach, event planning, and program recruitment to enhance community engagement efforts within the local government setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Community Engagement Coordinator with community outreach, event planning, and program recruitment.
- Support outreach and engagement events including pop-ups, workshops, and community meetings.
- Contribute to writing and design tasks such as drafting newsletter articles and creating social media content.
- Brainstorm ideas to make engagement more inviting and accessible.
- Analyze and synthesize data from online and in-person engagements to understand community sentiments.
- Learn and apply community engagement design techniques under expert guidance.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.
- Interest in learning about and engaging with the local community.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Experience with social media and graphic design preferred.

Currently pursuing or recently completed undergraduate or graduate degree
