Community Manager - Job Summary

Manage community activities on social platforms by moderating, publishing, and engaging in both German and English, while collaborating with creative and strategy teams to build strong, engaged communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day community activity across social platforms including moderation, publishing, and engagement
  • Create and adapt compelling, platform-native copy in German and English
  • Stimulate and sustain conversations to build meaningful relationships with communities
  • Execute editorial calendars and support campaign rollouts across multiple channels
  • Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to ideate and brief engaging content
  • Monitor conversations, identify trends, and escalate issues where necessary
  • Maintain brand tone of voice and ethical standards in community engagement
  • Support real-time and reactive social moments including live event coverage
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to strategic thinking
  • Track performance, contribute to reporting, and provide actionable insights
  • Stay updated on platform changes, cultural trends, and emerging opportunities

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Community Manager or Social Media role (agency experience preferred)
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong copywriting skills with ability to adapt tone across platforms
  • Deep understanding of social platforms like Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and their nuances
  • Experience with moderation, escalation processes, and customer-facing interactions
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment
  • Experience with social publishing and listening tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Khoros, Hootsuite) is a plus
  • Culturally aware, proactive, and curious about trends and online behavior
