Developer Community Engagement Intern - Job Summary
The intern will manage the Wavelabs developer community and events, including Discord management, event support, and content coordination during a growth phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Discord community: welcome and onboard members, organize channels, moderate conversations, answer first-line questions and route technical queries
- Run community activities such as polls, challenges, and AMAs
- Compile weekly community metrics for the Head of Developer Ecosystem
- Maintain developer content calendar across newsletters, blogs, social posts, webinars, and event promotions
- Draft social posts, event recaps, and newsletter sections
- Update project trackers and prepare weekly status updates
- Assist with logistics for partner co-marketing deliverables
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's or master's program in marketing, communications, computer science, business or related field
- Active in online communities (Discord, GitHub, Reddit) with understanding of developer communication
- Clear, friendly, and concise writing
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple events and deadlines
- Comfortable using Google Workspace, Notion, Canva, and major social platforms
- Genuine interest in AI, cloud computing or developer tools
- Proactive, eager to learn, and able to take direction and follow up with vendors and teammates
Education
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's or master's program in relevant fields
