Community Engagement & Communications Intern - Job Summary
The intern supports efforts to promote and educate the public about organ and tissue donation, focusing on increasing donation registrations and awareness through marketing, communications, and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with marketing campaigns and outreach promoting the DonateLifeAZ Registry and community programs
- Support writing, editing, and distributing press releases and media materials
- Translate marketing materials and press releases (for bilingual interns)
- Contribute content for organizational newsletters
- Manage and create social media content to promote Donate Life Arizona and related programs
- Help develop social media and marketing plans for events and initiatives
- Track media coverage and social media engagement metrics
- Assist with coordinating registry drives with community groups and partners
- Support event planning, setup, and breakdown
- Prepare and distribute promotional materials and mailers
- Assist with creating graphics, flyers, videos, and other promotional materials
- Perform general administrative tasks and participate in special projects
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments
- Majoring in a communication-related field and in good standing with the university
- 0-6 months of experience
