Intern - Job Summary

Interns engage in supervised media, communications, and community engagement activities to build professional skills and support school programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support media and communications activities including content development, digital storytelling, branding, marketing, community engagement, public relations, event communications, and classroom media support
  • Assist with planning, drafting, editing, production, scheduling, documentation, and analysis related to media projects
  • Collaborate with staff to support student-centered media initiatives while adhering to ethical standards and institutional protocols
  • Perform duties scaled to academic level, experience, and program requirements

Requirements

  • Enrollment or recent completion of an academic program related to media production, communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, journalism, digital media, education, or community engagement
  • Professionalism, reliability, strong communication skills, and ability to follow directions and policies
  • Preferred experience with media tools, writing, digital platforms, or community engagement depending on academic level
  • Successful completion of onboarding, training, and background clearance prior to internship

Education

High School Senior, Undergraduate, or Graduate-level enrollment or completion
