Senior Community Manager - Job Summary
The Senior Community Manager will lead YouTube strategies and community management for multiple clients, focusing on channel growth, audience development, SEO, and creative optimisation within a collaborative social media team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver YouTube strategies across multiple clients to drive channel growth, audience development, and creative optimisation.
- Develop and implement YouTube-first approaches aligned with brand goals and social strategies.
- Craft and optimise SEO-rich titles, descriptions, metadata, and tags for discoverability and search ranking.
- Establish, champion, and refine YouTube best practices for publishing, content optimisation, and community engagement.
- Provide senior editorial leadership through ideation, creative briefing, and content planning with creative teams.
- Deliver platform-specific copywriting with attention to brand voice, audience resonance, and keyword optimisation.
- Oversee community engagement including moderation and meaningful conversation management.
- Manage editorial calendars and creative campaigns ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with creative and production teams on content design aspects like thumbnails, titles, and scripting.
- Analyse performance data and provide senior-level insights, growth recommendations, and reporting to clients.
- Research platform trends, algorithm updates, and emerging tools to apply innovations proactively.
- Build trusted client relationships contributing strategic thinking, creative leadership, and commercial awareness.
- Mentor and develop junior team members in YouTube and community management expertise.
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead YouTube strategy for major brands or publishers with measurable channel growth and optimisation results.
- Strong expertise in YouTube SEO, metadata, and analytics applying best practices for performance improvement.
- Senior-level experience in copywriting for YouTube and social platforms balancing creativity, brand voice, and SEO.
- Solid understanding of social platforms, especially video-first formats like YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok.
- Exceptional client-facing skills including relationship building and presenting strategies at a senior level.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and leadership skills managing projects and teams under pressure.
- Proficiency in YouTube Studio, Creator Studio tools, and analytics/SEO platforms.
- Strategic, creative, and analytical mindset to identify opportunities, solve problems, and inspire innovation.
